Introduction

Tag Timer ("we", "our", "us") helps Shopify merchants schedule automatic removal of product tags. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and process data when you install and use the app.

Information We Collect

We only access data required to schedule and perform tag removals:

  • Shop Data: Shop ID, domain, and plan information to authenticate the app and enforce limits.
  • Product & Tag Context: Product IDs and tag names you choose to schedule so we can remove the correct tag at the correct time.
  • Schedule Metadata: Date, time, and timezone for each scheduled removal, stored securely for execution.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Customer personal data (names, emails, addresses)
  • Order or payment information
  • Storefront visitor analytics
  • Data unrelated to tag scheduling on products you configure

Where Data is Stored

Schedule records and app configuration may be stored on our secure hosting infrastructure. Product and tag identifiers are used only to perform the removals you request inside Shopify's APIs. We do not sell your data.

How We Use Your Data

  • To display and edit scheduled tag removals in the Shopify Admin.
  • To execute tag removal at the scheduled time via Shopify's Admin API.
  • To enforce plan limits (e.g., number of concurrent schedules).

GDPR & Compliance

We support Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks where applicable:

  • customers/data_request: We respond confirming no customer personal data is stored for Tag Timer.
  • customers/redact: We respond confirming no customer personal data is stored.
  • shop/redact: We delete schedule and configuration data associated with the shop from our systems.

Data Retention

Active schedules are retained until they run, you cancel them, or you uninstall the app. After uninstallation, we process shop/redact to remove associated records from our infrastructure within a reasonable period.
